> If you're simply looking for a monitor, I'd try kmidimon. thanks a lot Christopher, it was exactly a tool like that I was searching :) I have found gmidimon that is less powerful than kmidimon but it doesn't need to have gnome installed (kmidimon seems to need kde to be installed on gentoo) and it gives me the info I need.
