Well, that's highly dependant on the source material - you shouldn't expect such results to be the common case. As far as I can tell, compression is roughly proportional to the average signal level, and the amount of high frequencies. 2:1 or 1.5:1 are more typical of the files I've compressed with flac. -- Paul Winkler http://www.slinkp.com
