I have the same card. As I understand it, you can't use the SoundFonts 
in hardware, as you would with a SoundBlaster.

However, you *can* use a software sampler, like fluidsynth (I use the 
qsynth graphical front-end to fluidsynth). Of course, this depends on 
the capabilities of your processor, RAM, and so on.

I have a P3 700Mhz machine, with something in the region of 600MB SDRAM. 
I find that a couple of largeish soundfonts in fluidsynth (bass and 
drums from naturalstudio) takes up 49% of my RAM.
