Well, the idea of this track is as follows: In Pd for each voice I use
two matrices of 10x10. One matrix stores the notes to play, the other
stores directions to walk. Then a voice is set free at a random
position of the directions matrix to walk. At each step it does a
lookup to the note matrix, plays that note, then it looks at which
direction to walk next in the direction matrix. All voices walk at
their own tempo. 

Now I can change the directions randomly and also can change the
notes to play. This is what I refered to as cheating: I change the
rules a bit until I find a set, that sounds pleasing. 

I also added an OpenGL visualisation to this, which might make the
process clear: see http://footils.org/cms/show/44

There you can see eight voices as red squares and the eight directions
matrices as white lines. I can switch directions and volumes of each
voice using the mouse. Softer voices are farther away in the 3D world.
