Thank you really for your answer, which confirms what I have said on the 
absence (volontary) of alsaconf in the most recent alsa-utils on the 
fedora site.
It's not a bug, it's a decision that I deeply regret, because as you 
have said, it is helpful for some users. In that case, it was useful for 
using a sound card on an old computer (toshiba 310CDT).
