If you have a SuSE, it's no wonder you cannot play the video.
For legal issues, SuSE delivers stripped down versions of the
video players.
Uninstall the SuSE mplayer, xine, whatsoever, and get rpms
from packman.links2linux.de.
The videos play well with mplayer or kaffeine (which is xine
based) on my Gentoo box.
