[linux-audio-user] Latency using limits.conf problem

Why would kernel 2.6.14 not work for low latency using limits.conf? I have 
these settings:

*               -       rtprio          0
*               -       nice            0
@audio          -       rtprio          80
@audio          -       nice            -10
@audio          -       memlock         250000

Pam is version 0.81-1. Everything works fine in root.
