That's because Tux Racer was fairly simplistic as a 3D game when it was released over 5 years ago. ;) I'm glad to hear about the OpenGraphics project; that sounds like exactly what I'm after. I hope they eventually are able to get something going that can be mass produced in China or Taiwan and sold for prices in the same ballpark as Nvidia cards are sold today. In the meantime, I guess I'll have to make do with the fairly lame Intel and Via chipsets. Rob
