Hi, I have managed to get alsa running correctly on an SIS/snd_intel8x0 system. One thing that bothers me is that I need to go in by hand and 'mute' the capture monitor channel by hand anytime I reboot. (I am using Mepis 3.3 on an AMD Athlon with kernel 2.6.11 I see messages at boot time from /etc/init.d/alsa Setting up ALSA.../etc/init.d/alsa: Warning: 'alsactl restore' failed with error message 'alsactl: set_control:894: warning: name mismatch (Master Playback Volume/Center Playback Switch) for control #2 alsactl: set_control:896: warning: index mismatch (0/0) for control #2 alsactl: set_control:1015: bad control.2.value.0 content'. done. ... Can someone explain how I can correctly save the settings that alsactl restore is using? Thanks. -- aloha, dave
