The target is another oldie, a Yamaha sw60xg ISA card which is simply an XG sound generator. It sits on a port, no IRQ, no DMA, no PNP, nada. The system does not know it's there, not Windows, not Linux. When W2k came out and Yamaha had no driver for the card, they recommended using the W2K mpu401 driver until. So I tried this with Linux and it has worked 100% until 2.6.12.
