I just see some verbose info from ecasound :

(midi-cc) (midi-cc) Controller number must be a number between 0 and 127.
... Defaulting to controller 0
(midi-cc) (midi-cc) MIDI-channel must be a number between 1 and 16.
Defaulting to
... channel 1.

But this is more confusing to me :(
