both have lots of Packages available. Suse tends to cut the
Audiopackages in the default install to be "fit" for the US-Market,
where Audiosoftware must be crippled because of the bizarre US-Patent-Law.

both are but i tend to prefer Suse/Novell for it comes with a very good
Environment to build Packages from source and it has better
Hardware-Support than others.
