Not sure if you are aware, but with the latest ALSA (1.0.9-rc2) you can
record 4 discrete inputs with that setup (2 from the livedrive + 2 from
the Line/Mic on the card).  See the emu10k1-jack.txt file in the ALSA
distribution.
