Hoi Marije,

probably a bit more info would help, but I'll try with what's here.

I assume this is a PCMCIA card? If so then it's pretty much the same 
setup I have. What I used was Alsa drivers 1.0.8 from the 
alsa-project.org site, compiled manually, with a 2.6.10 kernel. Other 
driver versions would not do it for me---don't know why--so you might 
try this one in particular. You'll need the alsa-tools, alsa-utils and 
alsa-firmware as well. For me, I had to eject and reinsert the card 
after everything else is up and running. Did you also use the 
"hdsploader" command? This can be run as a user (as long as this user is 
in audio group).

Also of course check the PCMCIA support in your kernel. You'll need 32 
bit enabled, might be safest to enable all the PCMCIA options.

Maybe you could provide some more info about your hardware if this 
doesn't fix it right up.
