I'd find very interesting that you elaborate on this, are you talking of
kinda "freedom" not related to licenses?

As an apriori I think we all tend to agree with that, being true that a
business model for free music still doesn't exist and maybe it will take
a very big effort on all sides to create it.

I thought you --or somebody else-- were asking for a do-everything app.
Obviously an open sourced do-everything app would be far more attractive
than Logic Audio or Reason for a hacker minded, but I tend to prefer the
way things are evolving right now.
