I have a TB Santa Cruz lying around here somewhere...as i recall there is a FM 
chip on those cards.

So, simple questions first....I assume you are running alsa drivers and they 
test out with another alsa enabled app for normal sound?  

Are you running jack and or  Qjackctl?  Qmidiconnect or whatever it is is a 
midi patchbay for patching midi ports...Qjackctl is that plus MUCH, much 
more...

What app are you trying to produce mide sounds with?
