The problem right now with FC2 is that the 2.6 kernel is not
bullet-proof when it comes to audio.  FC1 uses 2.4 and it's very
stable.  Some people have had good luck using 2.6 but others have had
major problems.  If you want to record you're better off with FC1 for
the moment.
