Superb post Clemens, I'll be investigating how to convert that to something readable by Timidity or Fluydsynth (SF2 I guess) in a not too painful way, in case it can be done at all. I'm now reading about Windows' SC-55 implementation, really interesting stuff. What do you think about the Windows file "8mbgmgs.sf2" that has been mentioned before as being the default sund font that Windows loads into wavetable sound cards it detects? It may be the case that it contains the same samples even, although I'm kind of guessing it may be a lower quality / more compact set, the name looks as it is intended for 8 Mb cards, whilst the virtual SC-55 based synth may use a much bigger set I guess. Any clue?
