I'm not familiar with this kernel, distro or soundcard, so I'll bow out now.
I assume snd-rawmidi deals with MIDI? I was expecting to see something with 
mpu401 in it. I would also have expected to see an options line which 
specified the address for the soundcard's MIDI port (usually 0x330). The 
proper answer to this needs to come from someone with experience of the new 
kernels on Mandrake.
