[linux-audio-user] Apple Lossless codec

Perhaps you should ask Apple to include non-patented formats in their 
products. You probably won't find the Linux community interested in 
supporting a new and potentially closed format that already has an open 
source replacement.

BTW, your iPod may look cool but there are other devices like the 
iRiver HP-120 that play far more formats than an iPod and don't put any 
restrictions on how you use your own music.
