[linux-audio-user] ALSA, FC2 test 3 and Delta 1010LT

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I just installed Fedora Core 2 Test 3. I have two soundcards installed;
Creative SB Live 5.1 Value, and a M-Audio Delta 1010LT.

Both soundcards seem to be recognized by ALSA, and the kmixer program shows
both (as does alsamixer). However, the 1010LT does not work. The SBLive does.

If I cat /proc/asound/cards, I get:
0 [Live ]: EMU10K1 - Sound Blaster Live!
Sound Blaster Live! (rev.10) at 0xbc00, irq 10
1 [M1010LT ]: ICE1712 - M Audio Delta 1010LT
                     M Audio Delta 1010LT at 0xac00, irq 5

When I cat /proc/asound/devices, I get this:

  0: [0- 0]: ctl
  4: [0- 0]: hardware dependent
  8: [0- 0]: raw midi
 19: [0- 3]: digital audio playback
 26: [0- 2]: digital audio capture
 25: [0- 1]: digital audio capture
 16: [0- 0]: digital audio playback
 24: [0- 0]: digital audio capture
 33: : timer
 32: [1- 0]: ctl
 40: [1- 0]: raw midi
 48: [1- 0]: digital audio playback
 56: [1- 0]: digital audio capture

A cat on hwdep only shows the SBLive:
00-00: EMU10K1 (FX8010)

Everything seems to be working, but still no sound. When I select the 1010
from XMMS, it gives me an error that the soundcard is either in use, or not
configured correctly.

Any ideas here? This is the first time I have tried ALSA, which was the main
reason to try FC2T3 in the first place.

Thanks,
