Which reminds me to ask the list this question:
I'm using a M-Audio Dio2448 which has no analog inputs and an IEC958
(S/PDIF) input which shows up on alsa as hw:0,2 - is there a way of
changing the ALSA-OSS mapping so /dev/dsp corresponds to the IEC958
input and not to the (non-existent) line input?

(so far, Audacity can play but it can't record. A *lot* better than
nothing as it means I can at least edit with it)
