Well, it's a PII (P6) architecture, but that's about the only similarity
to your chip.  The package is different, the core voltage is different,
your chip has SSE instructions, less cache but running at full core
clockspeed, etc.

I worked at a place where they sold overclocked machines regularly.
They saw nothing wrong with it as long as the machine seemed stable and
they didn't falsely advertise the speed of the CPU.  I disagreed with
this approach, but I have to admit I saw fewer problems than I would
have thought otherwise.

Some video cards tolerate it, some don't.  You probably got lucky...
