ok...success! xdosemu (i.e. "dosemu -X") runs everything just fine. the only issue now is that i normally run X at 1600x1200, so score's the 640x480 vga display used by SCORE is quite small. it would be nice to not have to change the X screen mode every time i want to run SCORE, but at least it works! best- -p
