hi all, thanx for your help, it seems that the problem was a mix of gentoo, ppc and jack related probs. all fixed with the new 0.94.0 ebuild for gentoo. detects libcap, detects alsa and compiles smoothly. qjackconnect shows up possible connections and jackd seems to run fine! thanx alot for your help. regards [alex]
