hi i'm trying to connect a midi keyboard Yamaha PSS-790 to the game port of my sound card SB Audigy , using a Y cable that claims to support SB. I'm running Planet on fc1, ALSA 1.0.4, rosegarden, qjctl, fluidsynth, i can actually play midi files into them. i also have a integrated soundcard with midi capabilities but it's disabled in the BIOS. here's some printout lsmod seems fine to me (snd-seq-midi etc.) aconnect -io gives [root@localhost root]# aconnect -io client 0: 'System' [type=kernel] 0 'Timer ' 1 'Announce ' client 64: 'Audigy MPU-401 (UART) - Rawmidi 0' [type=kernel] 0 'Audigy MPU-401 (UART)' 32 'Audigy MPU-401 #2' client 65: 'Emu10k1 WaveTable' [type=kernel] 0 'Emu10k1 Port 0 ' 1 'Emu10k1 Port 1 ' 2 'Emu10k1 Port 2 ' 3 'Emu10k1 Port 3 ' [root@localhost root]# amidi -l Device Name hw:0,0 Audigy MPU-401 (UART) hw:0,1 Audigy MPU-401 #2 hw:0,2 Emu10k1 Synth MIDI (16 subdevices) hw:0,3 Emu10k1 Synth MIDI (16 subdevices) [root@localhost root]# cat /proc/ioports 0000-001f : dma1 0020-003f : pic1 0040-005f : timer 0060-006f : keyboard 0070-007f : rtc 0080-008f : dma page reg 00a0-00bf : pic2 00c0-00df : dma2 00f0-00ff : fpu 0170-0177 : ide1 01f0-01f7 : ide0 0376-0376 : ide1 0378-037a : parport0 03c0-03df : vga+ 03f6-03f6 : ide0 03f8-03ff : serial(auto) 0cf8-0cff : PCI conf1 a000-a00f : VIA Technologies, Inc.
