Old as the stone is a kind of early 80s/late 70s soundtrack or synth piece
with acoustic drums. Think of John Carpenter and add a little more melody. :)

On the Linux side I used LinuxSampler with the great Salamander drumkit, plus
Midish and Nama with the usual collection of LADSPA plugins to produce and
record the song.
In hardware I used only monophonic, analogue synths, which was a little taxing
when it came to the brass, having to record six tracks for that alone. :)
