helio-workstation I haven't been able to build yet.
The instructions here:

are missing the last few steps. After exporting the environment
variable as described in the instructions (which is vague regarding the
useage, perhaps Release32 and Release64 refer to whether you want to
build as a 32 bit or 64 bit application?) you need to change to
Projects/LinuxMakefile
and run make from there.
The resulting application will be in LinuxMakefile/build
I did not see it mentioned on the project page, but it seems to require
JACK, I launched the application and it ended up crashing with messages
about not connecting to jackd.
I found the interface a little off-putting, but that might just be me.
The menus do not have text, just small icons, so there was a lot of
random poking around to try and figure out what any item did. Probably
once you understand what the various menus do it will make more sense,
but I did not have time to play with it right now.
