Thanks for sharing! I loved the 2006 version. I think this is better.
Maybe it's just my ears, but I kind of like the bass on the new mix better.
What did you use QSynth for in the original?

Qsynth used to provide the vibraphone (mallets) sound and the RH shakers. The
Sound Canvas just the LH shakers. With the latest version I also slightly
changed the levels and no longer used overall compression - that probably made
the bass a little clearer.
Ah, that explains it. Also explains why the original sounded louder than
the redo.
Definitely liked it. Try some more redos?
