Re: Soundcraft Notepad 12 FX audio interface

I have one, it shows up as 4x4 under jack and works fine so far, haven't
tried pushing the limits of latency

USB inputs 1 + 2 come from hardware inputs 1 + 2, USB inputs 3 + 4 from the
master bus

note this can be configured differently but only with software available on
windows and mac

be aware this causes an issue with the smaller unit, the Notepad 5 - it has
only 2x2 and the master bus is the default USB input, this includes the USB
output, it means e.g. any monitoring (e.g. click-track) will be recorded!

you can change that to hardware inputs 1/2 via windows or mac but then it
goes back to master bus next time it is powered up

been in contact with Soundcraft support months ago, they are aware of the
issue and promised a firmware fix but nothing so far - I'd wait before
purchasing that one if you planned to use it for recording under Linux.
