Thank you for the response. I connect my motu using usb 3 ports,but I have also tried to disable usb 3 functionality from bios. I mainly connect it via qjackctl. Then I test tone using pure data,440 hz sinewave. You can also test it using audacity generating a sine wave tone. If you prefer command tools,maybe you can use libraries like stk toolkit or Maximilian ,in c++. I can also select my sound card without qjackctl and Jackd. Pure data can see my input s and outputs directly. Then I go audio test play the sine wave , wait a while, I move frequency up and down,clicks start and never stop. I use the latest firmware,but I couldn't find a way to downgrade,it says the old firmware can't be used,its out of date.
