The way silence plays a role in the beginning is very nice. Then the introduction of more definite chords at about 1:30 is subtle, although perhaps a bit too contrasting as it quickly goes on. Considering the beginning and the place silence has, not sure if that was meant to be so contrasting. The FX, the reverb, could have perhaps lent way to another voice, another instrument or, an ambient texture so that the piano remains to its character. Perhaps. :) All in all maybe a somewehat unified dynamic approach at mixing or mastering would have made the quietest parts a bit more (not too much !) in the forefront at the beginning and a few other places. Does not mean to make them louder per se, just to bring them a bit closer to the listener while retaining the silence. The piece could have more instruments, there's leeway for that in both the notes and the silence. A very nice listen, and then some more. Cheers. _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user
