I might see, hear, what you mean, although considering the number of tracks going on, 1 drum, 1 bass, 1 keyboard (duplicated) to which 1 horns, 1 lead and 1 flute are added, separately most of the time, and then the chorus buildup and chorus section has lead, brass and strings over the drums/bass/keyboard tracks. So it's rather minimal regarding this. The drums by themselves are busy, not necessarily giving a clear cut, and are not sharply defined. They were originally but I tried to wrap them with the bass sounds to give a dreamy atmosphere that would open up somewhat in the chorus. And as I learn about mixing and making music, I try things out. The output is certainly not ready for any kind of 'official' statement or release. That does not make the pieces less enjoyable though, I find. Might be that I'm used to listen to all kind of crappy recordings, extracting the essence of things while listening, which makes the output I am doing since a bit more than a year now sound so good to me, in comparison :) Still a lot of work to do, though. Cheers. _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user
