that might explain the reason for the epoch of the package. It at least
underpins my claim, that "everything unwanted and impossible, becomes
possible, when running a Debian based Linux", especially when using
third party repositories.
I'm pretty sure you could patch jack in an Arch based distro if you
wished to.
