I presumed it would work via USB first and then BLE support would come later. It was worth trying. It was more the 'USB-MIDI gadget driver for the Seaboard GRAND' mentioned here https://blog.felipetonello.com/2016/09/19/linux-v4-9-with-more-usb-midi-improvements/ which implied similar support for the Rise in my presumptuous mind.
