I suspect loading a video player and loading a video isn't an option.
The video player needs to provide commands to directly play a video
segment by command line, when it's already running and the videos or the
video are/is already loaded, without a limit of bookmarked segments.
Your software might be much better than an amidi loop, but there might
be still missing the video player with the needed options.
