Running hdsploader manually shows that it doesn't find the card:
 hdsploader - firmware loader for RME Hammerfall DSP cards
 Looking for HDSP + Multiface or Digiface cards :
 Card 0 : HDA Intel MID at 0xf2520000 irq 43
 Card 1 : EDIROL UA-25 at usb-0000:00:1a.0-1.2, full speed
 Card 29 : ThinkPad Console Audio Control at EC reg 0x30, fw 6QHT26WW-1.07

The operating system sees the pci part of it at least:
 ~$ lspci | grep -i rme
 05:00.0 Multimedia audio controller: Xilinx Corporation RME Hammerfall DSP (rev 3c)
