Hi! I don't think a merge is going to happen sometimes soon, then again the future has mysterious ways... :) I'm not familiar with the previous debates but I understand KX-studio includes packages that Ubuntu Studio will not distribute due to the packages licenses, like Ralf explained... However, I've looked at KX-studio many times and i think they do a fantastic job! I do prefer XFCE over KDE, but in my case I admit it is a matter of taste... However; yes Ubuntu Studio needs contributors. And you are indeed very welcome to join the team! [1] Be it with code, ideas, suggestions, support, testing, documentation, PR... Participating is the best way to make things happen. :) There is an ongoing (but slightly latent) discussion about making Ubuntu Studio desktop-agnostic. Perhaps this is something you would be interested in contributing to? Kind regards, Set Sakrecoer [1] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuStudio/JoinTheTeam _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user
