Hi!

I don't think a merge is going to happen sometimes soon, then again the
future has mysterious ways... :) I'm not familiar with the previous
debates but I understand KX-studio includes packages that Ubuntu Studio
will not distribute due to the packages licenses, like Ralf explained...
However, I've looked at KX-studio many times and i think they do a
fantastic job! I do prefer XFCE over KDE, but in my case I admit it is a
matter of taste...

However; yes Ubuntu Studio needs contributors. And you are indeed
very welcome to join the team! [1] Be it with code, ideas, suggestions,
support, testing, documentation, PR... Participating is the best way to
make things happen. :) There is an ongoing (but slightly latent)
discussion about making Ubuntu Studio desktop-agnostic. Perhaps this is
something you would be interested in contributing to?
