Hi Karen, I hope you don't mind me dropping in unannounced. I'm currently working on trying to make the Yoshimi soft-synth accessible to people with sight problems. In the current 'master' quite a lot of command line control is in place now, and I've had a number of suggestions from F.Silvain. There is a help menu ('?' or 'help') and various lists that can be paged. Also, I'm placing quite a bit of emphasis on making the most used commands possible to be abbreviated - sometimes down to just one letter. For example: "s p 2 pr 107" will set part number 2 to program number 107 from the current instrument bank. "l i" will list all the instruments in the current bank with their ID numbers. I'm considering using capitals in the help lists so that people can tell what the minimum abreviations are. Would you find that helpful? I'd also be grateful for any ideas you might have. I don't know if you have the ability to compile code yourself (F.Silvain does, and does some coding too - which I find rather impressive). If you can, the tarball can be fetched from: https://github.com/Yoshimi/yoshimi/archive/master.zip Will. -- Will J Godfrey http://www.musically.me.uk Say you have a poem and I have a tune. Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song. _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user
