As an owner of an UA-25 I can say that it works great. It's an USB1
device by the way. And it's discontinued, just like it's successor the
UA-25EX. It seems the Duo-Capture has replaced them and it's iPad
compatible so I reckon it will work with Linux.

I've got the UA25 EX. Wonderful tool, and everything Just Works on my
Ubuntu Studio setup. Strongly recommended!
