No need to be too reserved.  Something like 'have you at least thought
of pressing the MIDI track's input button ?' would have made it :)

Ardour Truths For Grasshopper: You Have to Press the Input Button of
the MIDI Track For Any Note To Reach The Plugin Synthesizer.

Now all plugin synths have sound in Ardour.  It was actually a question
of MIDI notes not reaching the synth, but not a bug.  At least of the
technical kind.  All knobs of the Launchkey Mini can be quickly
assigned to a plugin synth also, of course.  Which is not the case, for
some reason, when launching a same synth using 'carla-single vst'.  But
that's something else to pursue.
