Depending on whether you installed, or ran from userland you should have sets of banks (bank root dirs) in either or both: /usr/local/share/yoshimi/banks/ /home/{userpath}/yoshimi-1.3.6/banks/ Yoshimi should have looked for these at first start. If not, from the main window go to 'Instrument->Show Root Paths' and add them manually.
