this is on Debian testing, with 

jackd 0.124.1 tmpdir /dev/shm protocol 25
kernel 3.14-2-rt-amd64
libasound2 1.0.28-1

jackd is started via qjackctl with options
jackd -t2000 -dalsa -r44100 -p256 -n2 -Xseq -D -Chw:UA25 -Phw:UA25 -i2 -o2
