Sounds like you have the source code package, and have to install all the
devel versions of packages so you can build Drumgizmo.

   build-essential \
   xorg-dev lv2-dev \

I have all those, but the installer still complains that alsa is missing. Is it safe / desirable / unadvisable to install alsa on ubuntu studio?
