I have read your interesting text, and I think the points you bring are correct.
But I think that the idea should not be dismissed just for the reason that it's not suitable for some people/sorts of music. Some people may want to play new-age in the same basement/city over IP :)
In some cases, this app will be very valuable. Is it really hard to use aconnect, as Gustavo suggested?
