I had problems with jack, with some apps it runs, but then my whole machine freezes up, but I want to use jack/rosegarden4/fluidsynth to eventually do my composition, right now I wind up using my asrxpro with midi, and then I make loops on the asrx and then resample and load them into soundtracker, but soundtracker is definitely more limited than what muse/fluidsynth or rosegarden/fluidsynth could do (when they are finally working for me).
