I have talked to a number of iCube users through the years (haven't used it myself). Most of them seem to agree that although it's a powerful device, it's 1) too complex to set up (that's the cost of its flexibility), and 2) the analogue inputs are noisy and there is considerable crosstalk. There are several competing boxes on the market, such as IRCAM Atomic and the Sensorlab. NoTAM in Norway used to sell one (designed by me), but I'm not sure if they still do.
