And at the staudio.com there's lots of info on the via chipset having
problems with these low latency cards. Their cards the DSP24 are ICE1712 based,
for what is worth. Havent checked at the m-audio.

My setup is an AthlonXP1600+ nForce chipset and was working ok with DMA enabled
disks (ATA100 or ATA133, not sure). C-pot2000 DSP24.
