Just an [OT] note, paramtric EQs dont actually sperate out bands and then
change the gain of each, its a filter thant causes a peak or trough in the
frequency response, you run the signal throung one filter per paramtric
band, in series.

What you want for a multiband compressor is a crossover network, which
splits the input into mutiple outs (usually low, mid, high), you can then
compress these and mix the results.

I dont know of one of those for LADSPA either :-/
