Another self-reply, sorry. But: I could remove the buzzing by going
with all my stuff (notebook, UA-20, power supply) into another room
and connecting it to another amplifier. So it seems, I am prey of a
buzz-loop (is that the word for "Brummschleife"?) in my room.
